Pune, 22 March 2025: The prestigious Late Dr. (Col) Prof. A. Balasubramanian 11thMoot Court Competition was successfully held at Raththinathammal Auditorium, SBUP, under the guidance of Principal I/C Dr.Tejaswi Avhad. Organized with meticulous planning by Convener Dr. Shalini Pandey and Co-Convener Asst. Prof.Anuja Jalan, the event showcased remarkable legal prowess. Dr. G.K. Shirude, Campus Director, delivered an inspiring address, motivating students to become future legal leaders.
The competition featured a distinguished panel of Judges, including Prof. Ulhas Bapat, Constitutional Law Expert & Renowned Academician,Shri. S. R.Narwade, Ad-hoc District Judge and Assistant Sessions Judge, Pune,Shri. A. C.Birajdar, 3rd Joint Civil Judge J.D. & J.M.F.C., Pune,Shri. Y. D. Koinkar, 5th Joint Civil Judge J.D. & J.M.F.C., Pune,Shri. N. S. Bari, 7th Joint Civil Judge J.D. &J.M.F.C., Pune, Advocate Satish Amrutka,Adv Monika Wadkar,Dr. Kiran D. Shinde Principal of Balaji School of Law Participants presented compelling legal argumentson complex issues, demonstrating exceptional advocacy and analytical skills.
The Respondent team from Jai Narayan Vyas University, Jodhpur, emerged victorious,winning ₹50,000 and the golden trophy, while the Appellant team from Dr. DY Patil Law College, Pune, were the runners-up, receiving ₹35,000 and the runner-up trophy.
Special awards were given to Ms. Tanisha Shingare from Marathwada Mitra Mandal Shankarrao Chavan Law College as the Best Mooter (₹15,000) and Christ University,Lavasa, for Best Memorial (₹10,000). The event also featured vibrant cultural performances, including a Marathi folk dance, a Lathi-Kathi act by Vrushali Jadhav, and a Kathak recital by Darshani Thakur.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks byMr.Siddharth Shukla student of LLB III, expressing gratitude to the Judges, participants, and organizing team. The competition highlighted legal excellence, gender equality, and professional discipline, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees..
